As a professional beauty advisor, the most common question I get is: "How do I prep my skin for my wedding makeup?"
The secret to flawless airbrush or HD makeup is a smooth canvas. Here is a timeline to get you started.
If you haven't already, now is the time to stick to a basic Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize, and SPF routine. Introduce an exfoliating acid (like AHA/BHA) twice a week to remove dead skin cells. This is also the time to start regular deep-cleansing facials.
Stop trying any new active ingredients (like Retinol) to avoid sudden breakouts. Focus on hyaluronic acid serums and rich moisturizers. Drink at least 3 liters of water a day. Hydrated skin holds makeup much better.
Get your final facial, threading, and waxing done now to allow any redness to subside. Do not try any new face masks or treatments. Stick to what your skin loves.
Cleanse gently, apply a hydrating sheet mask, and use a rich night cream. Get 8 hours of sleep. As your makeup artist, I will take care of the rest on your big day!
